- RACE INFORMATION -
Dear Fellow paddlers,
Ready for some competitive paddling? Goofy Halloween costumes? How about a combo of both? San Diego Outrigger Canoe Club is hosting our annual race, the San Diego Halloween Classic. We would love to see you all there! Our race is on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Crown Point in Mission Beach, San Diego.
Race options: Grom course (free!), short course, and long course. OC1, OC2, Surfski, kayak, SUP, etc.

This race is Halloween themed, so come dressed up in a costume if you would like and participate in the costume contest. There will be cash prizes for the top costume winners in single and group categories.
Registration is $30 and includes not only a T-shirt but lunch as well! What a deal! Bring your friends and family, it will be a super fun day on and off the water. We can’t wait to see you there! Register soon. First 100 registrants get the free T-shirts. Price increases if you wait til the day of the event to register.

- COURSE MAPS -
The LONG COURSE map is subject to change based on weather and ocean conditions.
The Short and Grom courses are set within the bay, with a the start and finish point near Bahia (as shown on maps).
Virtual Racers: Try your best to create a similar loop course and record times and your map with your GPS device. For people doing their own long-course, we simply ask that you try to create a triangled course with a mix of up and down wind sections. Make it a challenge!!
Note: If you want to meet and join at the "Start" times, please adhere to all social distance and safety protocols (on land and water).
- JOIN US -
MEMBERSHIPS ARE ANNUAL, INCLUDING THE OC-6 SEASON AND OFF-SEASON RECREATIONAL PADDLING. RACE FEES ARE BASED ON MEMBERSHIP AND TYPE OF RACE. CLUB PADDLES ARE FREE TO USE, SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY. PAYMENT PLANS ARE AVAILABLE.
*ONE-MAN (OC1) ACTIVITIES ARE ORGANIZED THRU THE CLUB, BUT CANOES MUST BE OWNED OR BORROWED BY EACH MEMBER. RACE FEES NOT INCLUDED.
FUN PRACTICE PADDLING - FREE!
Come and try us out! We welcome new and friendly faces all year-round. All you need is swimwear or water-approved athletic clothes and a good attitude. We have the rest covered!

FUN PRACTICE MEMBER - $200 /yr
Also known as our "Practice Paddlers", this membership is for those who want to be a part of the family, fun and fitness without participating in any races. This membership has year-round access and the same coaching and guidance as our racing members, but is subject to seat availability during the summer race-specific practices.
NEW / NOVICE RACING MEMBER - $350 /yr
Includes a one-time membership fee ($50), a team race jersey ($25) and race fees for the 5 Iron Races ($65).
Membership includes access to practice equipment, boat towing and transfer to races, insurance and club administration costs.
RETURNING RACING MEMBER - $300 /yr
Consecutive or non-consecutive years. Jersey not included.
Membership includes access to practice equipment, boat towing and transfer to races, insurance and club administration costs.
ACTIVE MILITARY - $30 /month
$50 Membership fee not included for new members.
Membership includes access to practice equipment, boat towing and transfer to races, insurance and club administration costs.
OC-1 CANOE STORAGE - $25 /month
Subject to availability. Dues are month-to-month and can be setup with automatic funds transfer.
